Guidelines for the participation as a Track Chair

The chair of a parallel session at the ACEDE Conference is responsible for moderating the session and encouraging discussion among attendees.

Authors of oral presentations will have a maximum time of 10–12 minutes to present their work.

Authors of papers presented in interactive sessions will have a maximum time of 8–9 minutes to present their work.

Discussants for oral communications will have a maximum of 5 minutes per paper to provide their comments.

The remaining time will be devoted to discussion and Q&A between the audience, the authors, and the discussants.

Comments provided by the chair and participants in the interactive sessions, as well as those from the audience, should be limited to a maximum time of 8–9 minutes per paper.

The chair must ensure that all presenters receive adequate and constructive feedback on their work, both through their own comments and those of the discussants and audience, so that each author receives useful insights to support the development of their research.

We kindly ask chairs to strictly enforce these time limits to ensure the proper development of the session and the rest of the scheduled activities.

It is important to announce these rules at the beginning of the session so that all participants and attendees are informed. The chair should also work to ensure the dynamism of the session, encouraging audience participation and fostering the right atmosphere.
