Social Impact, Transfer and Teaching Awards 2026

OBJECTIVE

The awards aim to recognize innovative initiatives in three key areas:

  1. Social Impact: An award granted to individuals or teams who have developed research projects with significant social impact in the field of management. This award recognizes efforts that have led to tangible improvements in communities, policies, or practices, highlighting initiatives that have addressed and mitigated critical social challenges at a local or global level.
  2. Teaching Transformation: The award recognizes individuals or teams whose initiatives have significantly transformed management education. This award highlights projects that introduce innovative methods and/or technologies to challenge and expand students' critical and analytical capabilities.
  3. Knowledge Transfer: The award is given to individuals or teams who have developed projects notable for their ability to transfer academic knowledge to companies, public administration, or other types of organizations. The projects must demonstrate tangible impact and a capacity for sustainable and scalable innovation over time.

PARTICIPANTS

  1. Researchers, educators, or teams who have developed the described projects may participate.
  2. Candidates must complete and submit the corresponding application form for the award they are applying for, available on the ACEDE Conference website (Awards section), and send it along with the indicated supporting documentation to sistema@congresoacede.org.
  3. The projects submitted must be unpublished or have been implemented recently (no more than two years prior to the call for applications).

SELECTION PROCEDURE

  1. Initial Phase: Applications must be submitted via the official forms available on the conference website before the announced deadline. The evaluation committee will verify that the forms are complete and that the applications meet the basic requirements.
  2. Evaluation and Selection of Finalists: Each category will have an independent jury composed of experts appointed by the ACEDE Board of Directors and the Conference Organizing Committee. The jury will evaluate the applications based on criteria such as the degree of innovation and impact, as detailed in each form.
  3. Jury Decision: The jury will select a maximum of three finalists per category. The final decision will be announced during the closing ceremony of the annual ACEDE Conference, along with the remaining awards. The awards may be declared void if the jury deems it appropriate.

THE JURY

  1. Each jury will be composed of 3 members: the President of ACEDE or their delegate; the Chair of the Conference Organizing Committee or their delegate, and one additional member appointed by the Board of Directors.
  2. The Board of Directors will also propose three alternates for cases of conflicts of interest.
  3. Conflicts of Interest: Jury members must report any conflicts of interest related to the applications and refrain from evaluating those proposals. An alternate will be appointed in these cases.

RECOGNITION

  1. They do not have an economic endowment (or: financial prize).
  2. Winners will receive an accredited diploma and public recognition during the ACEDE Annual Conference.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS

  1. The submission of an application implies the full acceptance of these regulations.
  2. The jury's decision will be final and will not be subject to appeal (or: review).

 


ACEDE SOCIAL INNOVATION AWARD

The ACEDE Social Innovation Award aims to recognize research projects that generate significant social impact in the field of management and economics. This award highlights initiatives that have led to tangible improvements in communities, policies, or practices, addressing critical social challenges both locally and globally.

What types of projects can participate?

Projects that will be especially valued are those that:

  • Address relevant social problems in an innovative way.
  • Have generated positive and measurable changes in communities, organizations, or public policies.
  • Have been implemented in the last three years.

What should I include in my application?

Participants must complete the application form and submit:

  • A summary of the project explaining the objectives, the methodology used, and its social relevance.
  • Concrete evidence of the social impact generated (e.g., testimonials, impact data, policy changes, or recognitions).
  • Any supporting documentation for your application (maximum 5 MB).

The ACEDE Knowledge Transfer Award recognizes outstanding projects that have successfully translated academic knowledge into the field of management, creating an effective bridge between the academic world and companies, public administration, or other organizations. This award seeks to highlight initiatives that have generated a tangible and lasting impact.

What types of projects can participate?

Projects that will be especially valued are those that:

  • Have facilitated the application of academic knowledge in practical and real contexts.
  • Have resulted in achievements such as the commercialization of products, the acquisition of patents, or the creation of companies.
  • Have been implemented in the last three years.

What should I include in my application?

Participants must complete the application form and submit:

  • A summary of the project explaining the objectives, the applied methodology, and the key results, highlighting its impact and relevance in knowledge transfer.
  • Concrete evidence of the achievements (e.g., commercialized products, patents obtained, companies created).
  • Any supporting documentation for your application (maximum 5 MB).

What types of projects can participate?

Projects that will be especially valued are those that:

  • Have implemented novel approaches in management education.
  • Have generated demonstrable improvements in learning, such as the adoption of new methodologies or technologies.
  • Have been applied in the last three years.

What should I include in my application?

Participants must complete the application form and submit:
